Improved service with the service app

Conference center and hotel De Ruwenberg uses the service app developed by Heuvelman. This innovative audiovisual concept contributes to the further improvement of the service to the guests of De Ruwenberg.


The service app allows participants of a meeting or event to submit a service request via a tablet or smartphone, without leaving the room. Customers can download the app for free via the Google Play Store or iOS App store. An event code is provided at the location to log in. Because of this app, guests can keep doing the work for what they came for: the event or the meeting. With the application the following service requests can be transmitted, for example:

  • Ordering food and/or drinks
  • Requests for technical support
  • Adaptations to the room

The information is simple to control via the web-based Content Management System. This system, plus the app and server are being furnished by the content designers of Heuvelman. Because beacons are installed in the building by our organization, personalized push messages can also be sent to visitors via the app. When the guests are not yet logged in with the event code they receive a general welcome message as: “welcome to the Ruwenberg”.

About The Ruwenberg

Castle the Ruwenberg is an understanding in the area of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The building dates back to the 14th century and is known for its restful home to knowledge seekers. The location has 38 rooms and can accommodate around 250 people during meetings, events or conferences. The building consists of a medieval entrance with behind it the Atrium and four side wings.
